School and District Report Cards now available
The 2007-08 Kentucky School and District Report Cards are available for viewing and download on the Kentucky Department of Education Web site at http://applications.kde.state.ky.us/schoolReportCardArchive/. The report cards for the 2007-08 school year contain important information about schools, including details about academic performance, teacher qualifications, learning environment and more. In the past, the report cards were printed and mailed to parents, but the printing and mailing process delayed the availability of the report cards by several months. Recent regulation changes now allow the report cards to be primarily available through the Department of Education’s Web site, and schools will be required to provide printed copies to parents only upon request.
The change from a printed report card to the Web-based report card will save the state more than $400,000 annually.
