Welcome to the Maxwell Family! My name is Jaime Nebbitt and it is my privilege to serve as your 2009-2010 PTA President. As another school year quickly approaches, I officially welcome you to Maxwell and encourage you to join in the fun of the PTA. There are many initiatives and changes planned for this year including a new time for PTA meetings! We will meet the 1st Tuesday of every month from 5:30-6:30pm in the school library with childcare provided.  We as a PTA are “Going Green” so I hope that you will not only consider joining us, but that you will sign up to get the Digno de Nota and other updates via e-mail. We have some exciting school activities and events planned for students and families this year but we need you to make it happen. Maxwell offers many ways for families to become involved with their children’s education!

Ways to Support your PTA…

PTA MEMBERSHIP

 Joining the PTA is one of the easiest and most valuable ways that you can show your support for Maxwell. Moms, Dads, guardians, teachers, school staff, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and members of the community can join! Our membership goal is to have 100% participation—one member for each child enrolled. Each membership is only $6.

VOLUNTEERING

Maxwell has an active volunteer program. The children, school and community benefit from active family participation. The PTA offers many opportunities for involvement. If you are concerned that you don’t have time during the day to volunteer at the school or if you cannot attend evening events or meetings due to other obligations, don’t worry, we will e happy to help you find a volunteer opportunity that works for your schedule. 

BOX TOPS for EDUCATION

Look for the 10¢ Box Tops coupon on hundreds of your favorite products. You can find Box Tops on brands such as Cheerios®, Betty Crocker®, Pillsbury®, Ziploc®, Kleenex®, Hefty® and more! Just clip the Box Tops coupon and send to school with your child to give to their teacher. The money raised is used to fund programs for the children throughout the year.
